Habitat: On the coast or at sea, always looking for food.

Physical Description: Large bird, predator, with a wingspan almost as long as a Human’s outstretched hands and is primarily grey in colour. Able to stay aloft for extended periods.
Habitat: Native to the Sullen Peaks near Stone Castle

Also known as Earth Elemental or Rock Creature
Physical Description: Humanoid, with broader shoulders. Their eyes glow with a faint orange light, and their stone-like skin gives them a natural protection from weapons. The rumbling sound they emit is reminiscent of a rockfall.
Habitat: They live far beneath the surface of Eiddenwerthe
Size: Very bulky, can be over eight feet tall.
Note from the books: It is suspected one was responsible for forcing the Dwarves out of Tor-Maldrin.

Flying Serpentine Quadruped
Physical Description: Large, four-legged, lizard-like being with two wings. They are intelligent creatures, capable of speaking a version of the ancient language of the Orcs, Elves and Dwarves. They are also capable of breathing fire. Dragons are almost extinct, save for those enslaved in the Kurathian Isles.
Habitat: Present – Only found in Kurathian Isles
Size: Can grow to over 100 feet in length
Note from the books: The people of Merceria thought dragons were mythical creatures until one was discovered in an attack on Weldwyn

Physical Description: Can blend itself into the background, covered with a yellowish-white fur. The height of an average man, but bulkier and covered in coarse white fur, allowing it to blend into its natural habitat of snow. It is a carnivore that preys on animals and, sometimes, people. The head of an Icora has been compared to that of a seal but with long sharp teeth
Habitat: Snow-covered mountainous areas throughout the Continent

Habitat: Not native to Kurathia. Found on a raided ship centuries ago

Physical Description: Flying creature with claws that can hover in place. The mouth of its dog-like face are lined with razor-sharp teeth. They travel in flocks and their screech is high and piercing.

Note from the books: They don’t usually live near water, preferring to stay within the safety of the woods.

Physical Description: Small creatures, with skin like bark, that fire thorns from their bodies. They are semi-intelligent and use traps and snares to capture their prey. They are seldom seen out in the open, preferring to attack from the cover of the woods.
Habitat: Wooded areas
Size: Three Feet tall
Note from the books: The Orcs speak of them to frighten younglings into going to sleep.

Quadruped
Physical Description: Massive beasts, with a large, bony head, and two massive horns protruding out the sides. Another, smaller horn grows above their mouth. Its thick, flat feet shake the ground when they walk, and they have a skin reminiscent of that of Trolls, though green in colour, rather than grey. The Saurians use them as beasts of burden, using small sticks to guide them.
Habitat: The Great Swamp, Merceria
Size: Three times the size of a horse.
Note from the books: Despite their size and fearsome looking appearance, they are quite docile.

Physical Description: Large, cloven-hooved creatures with stubby legs, shorter than a horse, but stronger, built for endurance rather than speed. Their flattened, bony heads, give them the appearance of a boar, while their long and tapered muzzles are filled with sharp, pointed teeth that can tear flesh with ease. Their bodies are covered by coarse hair that tufts along their back.
Habitat: The Eastern Wildlands
Size: Larger than a war horse and big enough for an Orc to ride
